My Story
I am taking part in the Great North Swim on 13th June. This will be a huge challenge for me. I love swimming but have a fear of swimming in open water.
Why am I putting myself through this challenge, I'm doing it for Poppy.
Poppy was just 20 years old when she died. She died from an inherited Cardiac Condition, something that, with the right awareness and screening can be detected.
In the UK, 12 young people lose their lives every week to undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
That's why this challenge matters:
Raising Awareness
Funding life-saving cardiac screening
Helping prevent other families going through the same loss
